Biography
This vibrant and young professional string quartet are based in Dorset. They regularly perform in concert, and have worked with funding through the Arts Council of England. They have given numerous performances in established recital series in Dorset, as well as many churches, theatres and festivals in the south of England. They are building a close relationship with Bournemouth University, and are looking forward to giving more recitals there. In 2007 they recorded backing tracks for adverts which were broadcast on national TV in The Netherlands and Germany, and in early 2008 they were invited onto local radio to give their first interview about the string quartet.
This quartet is available for concerts, weddings and other private events. They are very used to playing at weddings and functions, and can help you with music choices and timings right from the start of your enquiry. They have been booked for many different occasions, from small intimate weddings to large weddings at Christchurch Priory, as well as major corporate functions at hotels including the Royal Bath Hotel Bournemouth, and the Marriott in Bournemouth.
As individuals, they have attended Guildhall School of Music and Trinity College of Music in London, and have played with orchestras such as the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Brandenburg Sinfonia, The English National Baroque Orchestra, and the Auckland Chamber Orchestra, New Zealand.
For Concerts and Recitals please contact us to discuss programming and bookings. They enjoy playing new works of young composers and have given world premiere performances of String Quartet No.1 by Ian Tipping in Portsmouth, and "String Quartet" by Clive Lukover in Poole during 2007.
