Biography

This String Quartet comprises of four talented and professionally trained musicians who have been playing together since 2002. They thrive on performing live music to complement any function or gathering, and aim to enhance the atmosphere with a stylish ambience. The quartet perform a range of repertoire to suit your day and never fails to provide a friendly and reliable service. They make you an integral part of the process by providing for your requests and discussing details as the event approaches.
The four members of the quartet have flourishing free-lance careers, playing for various professional orchestras and ensembles such as the English National Ballet, London Concert Orchestra, London Telefilmonic Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra , Syd Lawrence Orchestra, and performing at prestigious venues such as the Barbican, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall, and Sadler’s Wells. TV appearances include TOTPS and Parkinson. Tours have included a pop tour to Italy playing for the Italian pop singer ‘Cesare Cremonini’ and a trip to Taiwan touring with ‘Hamlet! The Musical’.

The quartet enjoy first and foremost playing and working together as a quartet, and have gained many years experience and enjoyment performing at numerous functions.
Live music can make your wedding day extra special, from the arrival of the guests, through to the wedding breakfast and into the evening reception. You can tailor the day with the quartet playing for as much or as little of the day as you like. We have a great selection of music for you to choose from and you can have as much input as you like in selecting the music for your day.

Whether you are having a civil or religious ceremony, a string quartet is the perfect accompaniment for the entrance of the bride, the signing of the register, and the exit of the bride and groom. Please see our repertoire for music suggestions, however these are purely suggestions! You can be as traditional or as wild in your choice of music as you like – the day is yours! If you have any music requests that are not in our repertoire, we will do our best to try and obtain the music for you.

As the day progresses the String Quartet aim to compliment the mood with the style of music, whether this be the lighter, up-beat numbers and/or those which suit the age and taste of the guests! They are always happy to play requests.
The String Quartet have regular contact with you in the lead-up to the day and ascertain exactly what it is you would like from us. We arrive in plenty of time on the day and familiarise ourselves with the venue and liase with the relevant people. The String Quartet’s experience enables the players to provide a relaxed and smooth running service in order that your day is one to remember.
