Biography

This is an all female string quintet comprising of two violins, viola, cello and double bass specialising in playing for weddings; ceremonies and receptions, as well as background music for corporate events, dinners, drinks receptions and launches.

With the addition of the double bass the Ensemble are able to offer something different. Their sound is richer, their repertoire is fuller and visually they are more striking.

All five members studied at the Birmingham Conservatoire and since graduating have gone on to play for many professional orchestras and ensembles as well as fulfilling the constant demand for their quintet work. They enjoy playing together and this is portrayed in the music the play and the atmosphere they create.
The String Ensemble prides its self in giving an excellent service from the moment an enquiry is made to the last note they play!

WEDDINGS
They play at civil and church ceremonies, receptions and wedding breakfasts. They can play at all or part of your special day and can advise on any aspect, especially for suitable music, for the procession, signing of the register and the recession. Special requests are always welcome!

CORPORATE FUNCTIONS
If you are hosting a dinner, reception or launch that requires something special to set it apart, then the ensemble is the perfect choice to perform background music at your event. Their client list includes The IEE, University of Birmingham, The Chamber of Commerce and Wates.

REPERTOIRE
The ensemble has a varied and interesting repertoire list. With the addition of the double bass it enables them to explore many different genres.
From a Mozart Divertimenti to Mancini's Moon River and Grieg's Holberg Suite to Selections from the Sound of Music, they have something for everybody - whatever the occasion. If what you are after does not currently exist in our repertoire range they will be more than happy to have it arranged.
